A 100% Primitivo grape varietal from Apulia in Southern Italy. The father of Zinfandel this wine offers all the characteristics of a Californian Zin at a lesser price. It has good structure with smooth tannins and moderate acidity thanks to the malolactic fermentation it goes through. With nice red fruit and some spice on the palate together with some vanilla from the oak it makes for a good quality wine that is good on it's own or with a gamey meat or lamb.
