An episode destined to make people discuss the one reported in the last days in Salento where a woman would have been attacked by a pack of strays while she was walking with her dog:
According to what was reported by a television service broadcast on the web – whose link to the video we report below – a woman was walking with her dog in the town of Ugento when she was joined by a pack of stray dogs that, probably intolerant towards the owned animal, they attacked both the woman and her dog. Despite the difficulties, the woman managed to save her animal by escaping the herd. According to electronic sources, the woman has suffered minor injuries and she is not in danger of life. An episode that should however make us reflect:
However, such episodes should remind us that even stray dogs are animals like everyone else (and not “bad”). However, in some circumstances, they can turn out to be aggressive towards dogs they don’t consider to be part of the pack. These phenomena should push the control officers to manage stray animals in order to ensure a peaceful coexistence with the human inhabitants and dog owners.
